Youth Economic Empowerment through Arts

The Visual Arts Forum aims to open up new opportunities for talented arts graduates who are unemployed and underprivileged by turning their talents into income-generating professions and businesses, and by equipping them with the necessary technical and business skills.
During the course of the project, 80 participants will develop their technical skills in the fields of illustration, animation and art therapy, and 50 of these will receive business training and online freelancing training to explore potential sources of income in the online world and/or to start their own businesses. The participants in illustration training will develop business ideas and plans, and four illustrators will receive grants to turn these ideas into creative businesses. Moreover, four animators will have the opportunity to begin internships for a period of six months in regional specialised animation companies.
