Wild Tunisia

The Wild Tunisia initiative strives to establish an eco-labelling scheme that certifies economic development within Tunisia’s protected areas and nature reserves. The project will facilitate the creation of new green and innovative jobs in and around these areas thanks to the certification of the products and services that are produced and supplied by young entrepreneurs in the respective regions. The project is based on a participatory approach that will increase the capacity of successful project managers, add value to products and services, and create green jobs for disadvantaged groups. At the same time, respect for the environment through the preservation of natural resources will increase. This is a pioneering project as it creates a new label and a new methodology for certifying green companies in Tunisia. Its far-reaching effects will promote new green jobs and boost the economy of disadvantaged regions surrounding the target protected areas.
