Threads of Hope

The project is a story of hope using the point of a needle to translate feelings, pain, nostalgia and memories of disadvantaged young women into beautifully handcrafted high-quality products to earn income, and to support themselves and their families. Threads of Hope works with different types of embroidery, cross stitch, ajoure, crochet, qutan (corded work), natural dyes and block print. The project supports 300 women, including refugees to promote their inclusion in viable economic opportunities and in a safe working environment that fosters their learning and wellbeing and also provides access to medical care and psychological support when needed. Threads of Hope collaborates with high-end brands securing a sustained value chain. In this project, the partner documents its journey and programs, expands its partnerships and brand and further develops its business model.
