Racines Carrées – Incubators of cultural structures

The aim of this project is to increase the number of professionals working in cultural industries. It enables participants to carry out structured, sustainable artistic and cultural projects with a view to developing widespread access to culture and consequently facilitating improved citizen participation. 36 integrated structures will be accompanied by vocational training that is specially tailored to support the development of cultural projects and a mentoring programme. The work will culminate in a festival that serves as a launchpad into the professional creative market.
750 young people and children from disadvantaged neighbourhoods will participate in monthly workshops developed by the integrated structures (theatre, visual arts and fine arts). The workshops focus on values such as citizenship, living together, individual and collective freedom and solidarity, thereby promoting personal development and essential life skills.
