The Lammet Sahafeh project addresses a number of the challenges faced by young Palestinian journalists, specifically a lack of employment opportunities, mismatching between current skills and the requirements of the market and accessibility to media platforms where they can publish their works. The project will capacitate 50 media graduates to improve their employability, become freelancers or start their own businesses. Moreover, it will further develop the LammetSahafeh.ps platform to become a space where media and journalism graduates can experience what it means to publish their content in a formal environment and in the role of innovative and interactive content creators. What distinguishes the platform is that it is a collaborative space that serves as a voice for Palestinian youth. Throughout, the platform strives to look beyond the surface and offer unique stories that reflect the diversity of the Palestinian narrative, from culture to history to sports, economics, technology and beyond. To ensure the continuity of these interventions, the project will develop the capacity of Lammet Sahafeh at both the organisational and business levels through the development of the Sahafeh Space as a source of income.
