Care leaver worldwide 2.0

“Careleaver Weltweit 2.0” is a follow-up project to “Careleaver Weltweit. Persönlichkeitsentwicklung durch soziales Engagement im Ausland” and part of DROSOS FOUNDATION’s programme “Brückensteine” working to improving the situation for and with care leavers in Germany.
“Careleaver Weltweit 2.0” aims to create a lasting situation that enables care leavers to partake in foreign volunteering experiences. Participating in these programs helps care leavers build their life and future skills and addresses some of the root causes for economic disparities they often face due to their upbringing.
Besides directly helping additional participants to go abroad and thereby changing individual biographies and creating positive examples, the project continues to create awareness for the special needs of care leavers within the organisations sending volunteers abroad. It also sensitizes care personnel to the measurable benefits of foreign volunteering experiences.
