Academy of Cultural Professions -AMC

In Morocco, the cultural sector is growing and it offers untapped opportunities for employment. There are hundreds of cultural and youth centres spread across the country. However, many of them remain inactive due to the lack of human resources. Training opportunities in this sector are limited and often require an academic background or significant financial resources. This project aims to fill this gap by setting up a Cultural Professional Academy (AMC), specifically targeted to disadvantaged youth. It also contributes to addressing the high NEET rate (number of young people between 15-24 years old who are Not in Education, Employment or Training) in the country and offering opportunities in a sector that is attractive to many young people. The academy will provide young people with vocational training and facilitate their integration into the following jobs: centre managers, cultural mediators and cultural assistants at public or private entities (e.g. cultural center, social centers, community centers, museum). Some of them will set up their own cultural enterprises. In addition to that, the project will allow the creation and animation of a sustainable national recruitment network for the cultural sector.
