Urban innovation hub

The urban innovation hub was established in the heart of the city near Cairo University. It is a lively and inspiring co-working space.
The innovation hub helps young people set up social businesses in the mobility, energy and food sectors. By providing space for these start-ups, the hub enables young entrepreneurs to realise their ideas for addressing the urban challenges facing Cairo. The hub offers institutional and business support services, promotes collaboration with the city’s leading educational institutions and connects university graduates with young, established start-ups. Various events are organised to bring together entrepreneurs, government officials, urban planners and practitioners from cities across Egypt and around the world, and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
The partner is also establishing a cafe where people can work and which acts as a networking platform and a source of revenue for the hub.
