Young women in north Lebanon and rural areas in the east of the country face numerous challenges in achieving economic independence. This project aims to address the lack of support programmes tailored towards women entrepreneurs from rural areas, as well as a lack of awareness about existing funding sources and limited skills development of women entrepreneurs.
Through training and mentoring support, women with start-up ideas or already up-and-running SMEs are provided with targeted guidance and can develop their technical know-how to access funding, implement their business plans and grow their businesses, and in the process create new employment opportunities. Building on the partner’s network of business circles and entrepreneurship stakeholders, the project will amplify exchange, create connections and foster the sharing of expertise through dialogue and through an online resource for women entrepreneurs.
