Socio-economic reintegration of young drug users

The aim of the project is to facilitate the socio-economic reintegration of young drug users who are being treated with methadone by offering them income-generating activities. In addition to freeing them from the use of drugs, these activities will encourage them to resume their place in society and avoid marginalisation by becoming economically independent.
800 young people will be made aware of income-generating activities and those who are selected to engage in these activities will receive social support to make sure they are psychologically stable and receiving advice about the responsibility of managing an income-generating activity. Those who need to upgrade their vocational training will be directed towards partner training centres. They will also benefit from training in essential life skills to further bolster their chances of success. And finally, there will be a number of follow-up measures to give these activities the best chance of success. The beneficiaries will be made aware of the importance of having a profession, professional development and the related administrative tasks.
