The «Giza Systems Education Foundation», a local non-profit organisation, empowers people with disabilities to overcome daily challenges using technology-based solutions. They utilise digital fabrication technology to design useful everyday tools and are included throughout the entire process from ideation to execution and thus are able to achieve multiple winning outcomes.
The target group actively joins the workforce or they become entrepreneurs themselves. After a successful pilot trial in Cairo, the partner shall scale up to a new governorate (Fayoum), while serving and integrating more people with disabilities in society and enhancing the project’s sustainability.
Nitrous 2.0 supports around 300 individuals in their journey to independence and creates various assistive tools to address a range of disabilities. Nitrous services are adapted to fit both the private and public sector while maximizing the social value and financial sustainability.
