Arts for All

The arts are a powerful instrument for spreading civic values, such as respect, tolerance and peace. The local not-for-profit organisation, Ana Masry, is expanding opportunities for children and young people in Qena governorate of Upper Egypt where the need for cultural activities is great. Ana Masry makes use of existing public cultural centres, and in close collaboration with local government it is developing activities to attract children and young users. Moreover, mobile theatre is being introduced to reach the most marginalised young people in remote villages. The partner also engages the community, among other stakeholders, to coordinate efforts and local resources for sustainability.
