JobAct PLUS

The social enterprise Projektfabrik gGmbH has been pioneering the inclusion of drama and theatre in the personal development of long-term unemployed young people since 2005. Every year it offers over 20 «JobAct» projects throughout the country. After 12 months of intensive group work, during which the participants plan, produce and present a joint play, their work is then showcased in an official premiere in front of an audience. Projektfabrik works in collaboration with the Federation of Open Workshops (Verbund offener Werkstätten e.V.) to create «JobAct PLUS», which has been designed to broaden the existing range of products and supplementing it with modules on how to use tools, materials and machines. In addition to developing their personal and social skills, the young participants also acquire technical and manual competences whilst actively participating in the learning environment of open workshops.
