This project aims to promote music education in Tunisia by setting up two conservatories that are free of charge in disadvantaged neighbourhoods on the outskirts of Tunis and El Kef.
250 children from these two cities will have the opportunity to access quality music education, which has been beyond their reach until now, including group classes in music theory, violin, piano, drums and, last but not least, master classes in Tunisian music and music from around the world. Thanks to these conservatories, the project aims to improve the personal development of children living in these problematic neighbourhoods by building their self-esteem and encouraging emerging talents.
The project also includes civic engagement activities, such as music events in orphanages and hospitals for children, with the aim of developing the children’s civil participation. Art and culture are thereby integrated in an educational way.
By promoting personal development and the learning of musical techniques, the project offers these children new perspectives. The project also provides a source of inspiration for other students and future generations.
